Dr. Merckx graduated from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois with a bachelor's of science degree in biology. He then obtained his medical degree from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Merckx has completed a three year surgical residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center*, Chicago, Illinois.
